NASA-Supported Space Tech Advances Earthly Construction

- Branch Technology Inc. developed Freeform 3D Printing that creates lightweight lattice structures for modular building elements (wall panels, cladding). - The process arose from the company’s participation in NASA’s 3D‑Printed Habitat Challenge and a cooperative agreement with Marshall Space Flight Center. - Branch refined nozzles to extrude lattice and solid sections and developed basalt fiber–reinforced plastics and terrestrial “inks.” - NASA’s Technology Transfer program highlights these innovations as spinoffs that apply space‑driven solutions to Earthly construction.
