Hubble Captures Galaxy Cluster

- NASA’s Hubble imaged galaxy cluster MACS J1141.6-1905 in visible and infrared, showing galaxies clustered toward the center-left and foreground stars with diffraction spikes. - The image combines data from two Hubble programs targeting X-ray–bright galaxy clusters to find gravitationally lensed distant galaxies and study interactions in cluster cores. - Hubble’s archive (about 1.7 million observations over 36 years) supports ongoing research; MACS J1141.6-1905 is roughly four billion light-years away in the constellation Crater.
